    One of the largest exhibitions on meat and poultry farming – VIV Europe 2010 - is over. It took place in Utrecht (Holland) in April 20-22, 2010 at the height of raging of a volcano Ejjafjatlajokudl, due to which the air space in the whole of Europe was closed for more than a week. Nevertheless, the event proved to be a success. The event attended 6,894 exhibitors and 10 455 visitors from 87 countries of the world.

    Russian poultry production up in 2009

    Russian poultry production increased by a substantial 14,9% from 2008 to 2.37 million tonnes in 2009, and accounted for approximately 72% of total Russian meat production.
    Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia should continue to open new livestock farms.
